this is good to see. i go out and listen to shit every week, both on vinyl and cd, and without a doubt most of the most interesting music released in whatever you want to define as "idm" never makes it onto cd. except maybe for atom heart and bisk (and that byzar record), many of the most memorable releases over the past six months or so are all vinyl-only..."from beyond," fennesz's "instrument," that karaoke kalk stuff, the dot twelves (that's right, most of the best tracks aren't on the cd!), the v/vm comp., the unexplored beats twelves, voigt kampff, the new david morley ep, the schematic twelves, the forthcoming le car ep on sabotage, etc., etc. i can't imagine not having a turntable and missing out on some of the best stuff available... sc
